Okay, so, today I want to talk about what happened with the latest WWE NXT taping. It was a wild ride, let me tell you!
First off, I headed over to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. This was for the December 31st, 2024 show, but they taped it in advance. It’s always cool to see these things before they air, you know?
I got there pretty early, and the place was already buzzing. I heard some rumors floating around about what might go down. For example, there were people saying that some big names would be making an appearance like Alex Hammerstone. I also heard that Stephanie Vaquer would have a match against Cora Jade, which was exciting.
The Matches
-
The first thing I witnessed was Stephanie Vaquer totally dominating Cora Jade. It was a pretty decisive victory, and Vaquer looked amazing.

Then there was the whole deal with Chase U. I saw them doing some kind of segment. Honestly, I wasn’t paying super close attention, but it seemed like the usual Chase U drama.
There were a few other matches, and a segment of Zaria, but honestly, the results have been all over the internet. You can check out Ringside News or Fightful Select if you want all the nitty-gritty details. I was mostly there for the atmosphere and to see what kind of surprises they might have in store. Speaking of surprises, word on the street is that Alex Hammerstone was spotted rehearsing earlier in the day. That’s pretty huge if he actually shows up on the show!
I also heard some interesting tidbits about the backstage stuff. Apparently, they were recording this episode along with the Christmas Eve one. That means they were taping two whole episodes in one go. Talk about a busy week for the NXT crew!
Some Other Thoughts
Oh, and there was some chatter about the relationship between a certain WWE legend and his son. I won’t spoil anything, but let’s just say it’s getting pretty interesting. It might even lead to a title change, which would be a big deal since it could be the last one in WWE for the whole year.
Anyway, that’s pretty much all I can share for now. I don’t want to ruin all the surprises for when the show actually airs. Just know that it was a fun night, and I’m already looking forward to the next taping! The operation between WWE and UFC is still separate. As far as I know, WWE is still focusing on professional wrestling while UFC is focusing on mixed martial arts. So there is not much integration.
Overall, it was a pretty standard NXT taping, but with a few extra surprises thrown in. If you’re a fan, you’ll definitely want to check it out when it airs on New Year’s Eve. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!
