Well now, it seems like WWE’s been on a bit of a roll lately, letting go of more folks. They’ve done it again, this time with another big shot. I reckon this won’t be the last of it either, you know how things go with them corporate folks.
So, according to the word on the street, it’s Chris Kaiser who’s been given the boot. He’s been with WWE for quite a few years now, nearly a decade if you can believe it. He started back in 2015 and worked his way up to become the Executive Vice President of WWE Television in 2021. But now, looks like he’s out the door. That’s what the folks over at PWInsider are saying, anyhow. Funny how they don’t really give you much of an explanation when something like this happens, just let you wonder what’s going on behind the scenes.
But that ain’t all, no sir! Word has it that WWE’s been trimming down their corporate side too. Last Friday, a whole bunch of them folks got let go. Brandon Thurston over at Wrestlenomics confirmed that a few of them high-up people got the boot. And, to be honest, it’s a bit of a shocker. Seems like the bigwigs at WWE are making some pretty heavy changes these days.
I tell ya, just last Christmas, WWE had Kevin Dunn leaving all of a sudden, which wasn’t expected either. Now, more folks are following suit. Aaron Varble from SEScoops, he was the one to let everybody know that the Executive Vice President of Talent was also outta there. And if that weren’t enough, a little while ago, Nick Khan’s email leaked and it had more news about all these shakeups happening at WWE.
Then, as if that wasn’t enough of a surprise, PWInsider reports that WWE Vice President of International Platform Strategy, Andy Levine, was also let go. That’s right, another one bites the dust. I guess these changes are happening left and right over there. From what I hear, Levine had been with WWE for a while too, working in various roles over the years. But now, no more.
And don’t forget about Jamie Horowitz and Beth Fisher—both got their walking papers as well. Seems like WWE’s been cleaning house, doesn’t it? They’ve been making quite a few cuts on the corporate side of things, and some folks are starting to wonder just what’s going on over there. You gotta wonder, with so many people leaving all of a sudden, what kind of changes WWE’s planning for the future?
One thing’s for sure, WWE is going through some pretty big shifts. The powers that be are certainly making some bold decisions, and it looks like more changes might be coming down the pipeline soon. People are talking, and even though they ain’t saying much, it’s clear that the company’s in the middle of a major overhaul.
Now, I don’t know what the future holds for WWE or for the folks that’ve been let go, but it sure makes you wonder if they’re gonna be able to keep up with all the changes happening around them. Corporate or not, when you’ve been in a place as long as some of these folks, it’s gotta sting a little when you get sent packing. But I reckon that’s the way things go in the big business world, isn’t it?
Well, anyhow, we’ll have to wait and see what’s next. WWE’s always been a company full of surprises, and it looks like they’re cooking up more of them. Who knows who’s gonna be next on the chopping block?
