Well now, let’s talk about this Yinlin, ya know, from that Wuthering Waves game. I heard some folks gabbin’ about her, so I figured I’d chime in. Don’t expect no fancy words from me, I just say it like it is.
First off, this Yinlin, she’s got a voice, see? And it’s this lady, Naomi McDonald, who does the talkin’ for her in English. That’s what them internet folks told me, anyways. Seems important to some people, who’s doin’ the voice and all. Yinlin’s English Voice, they call it. Sounds fancy, but it just means who’s speakin’ for her.
Now, from what I gather, Yinlin, she’s a bit of a complicated one. Reminds me of my niece, always makin’ things harder than they need to be. This Yinlin, she’s got this close tie to some fella, Dollmaster they call him. And she’s supposed to be spyin’, but it ain’t workin’ out so well ’cause she’s all friendly with the guy. Makes you think, don’t it? Like tryin’ to catch a chicken while feedin’ it at the same time.
- She’s got a complicated relationship.
- Spying ain’t easy when you’re close to the target.
- Sometimes you outsmart yourself, like Yinlin did.
They say some crimes, they’re done outta love and responsibility. Ain’t that somethin’? Sounds backwards, but I guess that’s how it is sometimes. Like that time my neighbor “borrowed” my garden tools and never brought ’em back. Said he was just tryin’ to help me out by fixin’ his fence. Love and Responsibility, they call it. More like love and takin’, if you ask me.
Then there’s this whole “virtual assistant” thing. Now, I ain’t got no computer, mind you, but I hear tell these assistants are like helpers, but you don’t see ’em. They work off-site, somewhere else, and they’re real good at what they do. Better than some regular workers, they say. Folks use ’em for all sorts of things, even for those fancy adjuster fellas and them lawyer types. Expert Virtual Assistants, that’s the term. Sounds like a good deal, if you ask me. Wish I had one to help with my chores, but I reckon I’m too old-fashioned for that.
And speakin’ of assistants, there’s this other Yinlin, a fella this time. Dr. Yinlin Chen, they call him. He’s some kind of smarty-pants, teachin’ and researchin’ at some fancy university. Computers and stuff, that’s his thing. He’s an Assistant Director and an Assistant Professor, whatever that means. Lots of big titles, that’s for sure. Assistant Professor, huh? Sounds like he’s got a lot on his plate.
Then they got this Japanese voice for Yinlin too. Seems like everywhere you turn, there’s a different voice for this character. Japanese, English, who knows what else? Folks get real worked up over it too, comparin’ this voice to that voice. Japanese Voice Actress, they call her. Like it matters more than the character herself.
And these virtual tech assistants, they’re like the fix-it fellas for computers. Troubleshooting, updates, all that jazz. They can do it all from far away, no need to come to your house. Handy, I guess, if you’re into that sort of thing. Virtual Tech Assistant. Seems like everything’s virtual these days.
Even got folks writin’ letters to get these assistant jobs. Sayin’ they don’t have much experience, but they’re willin’ to learn. Reminds me of when I first started workin’ at the cannery. Didn’t know a thing, but I learned quick enough. Beginner Virtual Assistant, they call ’em. We all gotta start somewhere, I reckon.
So, there you have it. My two cents on this Yinlin and all this assistant talk. It’s a complicated world out there, with all these voices and virtual things. Me, I’m just tryin’ to keep up. But one thing I know, people are people, whether they’re on a screen or in your backyard. And sometimes, they just make things harder than they need to be, like my niece and that Yinlin character.
